I don't know how anyone can deny that Al Gore had a major impact on public awareness/concern about climate change (regardless of whether or not you choose to accept the science behind it). His movie/activism is what made the "green" movement balloon into what it is today.
I'm not sure what Obama did aside from being the most reasonable president in my lifetime. But still, being reasonable and rational probably isn't enough to earn a peace prize.

Wait, what? I don't know what science you're talking about, but I know that the earth has climate trends with peaks and troughs in temperature. Hell, we were terrified of global cooling in the 1970s. Its the activism and sensationalism that is pushing this scare of global warming. The "green movement" is also hindering the expansion of nuclear power, even though its cleaner than fossil fuels and we're apparently having an energy crisis as well. Al Gore is doing more harm than good and he was rewarded for it. He's a politician and environmentalism is a political bandwagon.vargonian wrote:I don't know how anyone can deny that Al Gore had a major impact on public awareness/concern about climate change (regardless of whether or not you choose to accept the science behind it).
