Welcome to yet another reason that XCode is a fucking nightmare...

again.... picnic. problem in chair, not in computer. using the wrong extension then blaming the IDE/Compiler is just well. its just trying to not take responsibility for a mistake.

Again, I am disagreeing. Google "XCode problems" and you will see huuundreds of developers who completely agree with me.

XCode is notorious for being a pain in the ass.

Yeah, XCode does have its good parts, where it makes everything easy to do simple stuff, but when you want to do more complicated things, it gets kinda gay sometimes. I wish there was a way to do iPhone/iPod/iPad programming with Visual Studio C++.

No offence, but entering something like "xcode problems" into google and expecting that to be an accurate description of the issues is just silly.

guess there are more problems with visual studio ??

search something called "sourcesafe" its a version control system by MS that many people avidly bitch about. but there really is nothing wrong with it.

there have been times ive thought visual studio is the devil, but it was just because my lack of experience with it. any product is like it. if you dont know how to use it, but do, and expect specific results, it would be unfair to say its a softwares fault.

ive always maintained that visual studio is the best IDE i have ever used. but xcode is perfectly fine. close to visual studio, and by far the best free IDE.

I guess that makes sense, because programming is such a complicated hobby, the programs that you use to do it have to be complicated. Buuut, your search results don't really give accurate results because there is a far greater population of programmers for windows than there is for Mac/iPhone. So there is no real way to tell which has more problems, let alone give a clear definition of a problem, because the programs are just doing what you tell them to do, you are just telling them the wrong thing in most cases. However, it does seem that XCode lets you tell it the wrong thing a lot easier in my experience.

ibly, that was kinda my point. but yeah, every time i have thought xcode or any other IDE for the most part was full of shit, i later learned i was just being dumb.

Pretty much half way through writing that I realized I was proving your point, hahaha. I was too tired to go back and rewrite it so I was like -what the fuck.
