I'm not really sure how this forum works, so forgive me if I got it wrong. I saw 1st_Movement's request for a Skies of Arcadia Legends review, for the GameCube. I always wanted to try the GC version... I heard that a big difference from the Dreamcast version was that the air battles during flying (fighting monsters) was drastically cut-down, plus other stuff like a larger story line and more cut-scenes with new characters were added.
But with those aside, I did play the DC version, and it was just awesome! I mean, really, the story and characters really take you in within the first few hours of the game, gives you a good connection to the characters and keeps it going all the way through; and well, in my opinion, those are the elements of a strong foundation for a great game. And Skies has that. So, yea, I really liked it. I fell in love with the characters and thought the story, along with the game play, was laid out very well and was a lot of fun to play and get into. It definitely draws you in and you feel like you're walking away with something at the end, which is exactly what a good RPG does. And I hear that the GC version is an improvement upon the already great original, so I can't see how anyone can go wrong with this one. So, strap on your cutlass, man the decks, and get ready to explore the open skies!!
