yea, I was thinking Quake 4. I guess Quake 3 is plausible, but I'm still wondering how it's faster than the C version.

Actually, the DC compilation doesn't use SDL. I think.
No Way; SDL on DC apparently runs about as fast as an iceberg trying to burrow a hole into Mt. Everest.
As for graphics lib, I'm SDL/OpenGL all the way. Awesome flexibility, and it runs on linux (my OS
)
