Oil seems to have become the United State's crack. Sure, it's debatable as to whether or not it's one of the main and leading causes to both the Afghani and Iraqi war but, I'm sure we can all agree it should be considered one of the many reasons why we're still there. And regardless of how people feel we've grown increasingly dependent on oil. And we have all seen how the inflation of the oil prices has effed over our economy for a short period of time. Could this be America facing withdrawal symptoms for not acquiring our same usual amount of this quickly dwindling resource? Maybe this is a sign that our nation should check itself into rehab and try to find that alternate energy source that our government keeps falsely promising to us. We need a more environmental cheaper cost-effective alternative and we need it fast. And who knows, maybe an even bigger environmental disaster is waiting for us right around the corner that could easily dwarf that of the great oil spill. Oh, and directed towards BP. FUCK YOU!

Due to the increasing scarcity of oil, the value of the oil increases putting more money into the oil corporation's pockets. And many politicians hold high investments in these companies (some even OWN them *cough* Bush's family *cough cough*) so it's crucial for all of them to be making money. And this is therefore slowing down the process of finding an alternate energy source. And we have pretty much little to no say in the matter. It's either you go with it and continue to buy into the already WAY overly priced oil, or go without any transportation etc. whatsoever.

You sir are indeed correct... but you'd think other people would be getting on this, non government people just normal citizens. I mean I don't think the government covers these people up, I mean even if they did if more people went for it there's nothing the government could do... Oh well I'm tired this probably doesn't make any sense anyways
