One more thing: cause I will create it in SDL I think it would be nice to use some old school game sounds like sounds RPG games used 15 years ago, can I download all this assets for free somewhere?
For audio I will use SDL_mixer

I like freesound.org http://www.freesound.org/tagsViewSingle.php?id=2699 - it can be a bit of a tredge because theres so much there. I was looking for A1freesoundeffects, but I'm not sure if that's still going. Maybe a wave generator program would be an idea. I like the sound of mechanical keyboards (just bought a razor blackwidow) - so having an option to have a click sound when typing might be cool. I mentioned Fallout3 before, but that's full of retro sounds, the hacking screen especially.
Wavosaur is a great free sound editor too, I find it really quick and straightforward - and has nice mp3 support.
