To be honest what I'm thinking is that you are too advanced for the type of game your making, and I think you could easily learn some opengl or dx and make a more modern looking game. Using shaders and make the water be "realistic" and have real-time reflections isn't too challenging if you tried, same for things like waving trees.
What is wrong with the graphics? Also, I think it is a fairly modern looking game, with really nice graphics. I do agree with you on the animation part, though.

Also, this.

Inlinevoid wrote:Thank you all. No, I didn't design it myself. I bought a template and programmed the content/layout with some HTML and PHP. I'm not a web developer so it was definitely worth it to spend some money and get something that looked nice (rather than waste a ton of time that could be used on the game instead).
I guess you did the right choice. To mainly focus on the game itself is the best way to go.

But since I am working as a web developer, I am going to make my own little website when I get some serious game going ^^
(because I enjoy making web sites)

When do you think this game will be 100% finished?
I hope I can play this in the upcoming holiday :D

I just wanted to add, your map editor is pretty nice. I like how it just randomizes trees without you having to think about what to place. I know it's a small detail but it cuts down a lot of time instead of picking one sprite, drawing, picking another sprite, drawing again back and forth. This really adds to the map editor, since it makes you more productive when using it.
