I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

Hi. I'm new.
Hm. Yes, new.
New as in I just found the GyroVorbis youtube channel yesterday morning.
My names Joseph "Dora" Brannon and I'm a writer. I've -just- started trying to get involved with video game design, so I'm exceptionally new in many fields as it seems. I have a great passion for video games though, and I hope to work in the industry some day, but for now I diddle away my time working on my current literary projects and trying to teach myself basic programming languages.
So yeah. Nice to meet you.

~Collision~"What follows is the story of a man you may think does not exist. While you are correct in this notion, I can assure you that the man he embodies must indeed be in this world, whether in this universe or another, and the events surely have or, will in the future, have occurred. This is an absurd juncture, yes, but it simply must exist."

Hey guys I'm new... To the forums only I saw my first episode of 'Adventures in Game Development' Last year when I was trying to learn how to program... Yeah... All of you experienced programmers remember it . Staying up with your friends making Hello World programs and spicing them up while you drink Mountain Dew and Coffee and talk about how big of a hit your video game is going to be once it comes out. (Although your still years from even starting it). I'm still there. I talked to Falco on AIM a couple of months ago and decided I would start watching the Adventures again although i didnt want to register to the forums until i got to the latest episode.. And with school and my addiction to WoW it took me a while but i finally got to the newest episode today!. :/ Anyway! Hi!

Don't worry. I'm sort of the local black sheep when it comes to the videos (shh!). I don't think I've seen Part 3 yet.

Re: Official "Hello, World! (I'm new!)" thread
Yeah.... hi.
My name is Rio i am 15 and a freshman in high school *about to be a sophomore*
I am basic at programming, and i have been trying my best to learn as much as i can, cause my school has no experience in programming so i have been getting as many books as i can, been finding nice tutorials on the web. and learning from friends
The languages i have been learning thus far *and my favs* would be. C, C++, lua, python.
I have 1 project that i am working on, and I'm glad I'm not doing it alone. it's a cool project with my friends we are making our own OS. Lin-x, based off of linux and designed to look like mac OSX, my role in the group is just help create applications and stuff for it, I'm not the only programmer we have there are 3 others besides myself and i have also been learning from them.
Hope to become more in depth with all the languages that i can, and get better so i'll be able to help more on the project im working on.

Sweet, I was gonna make a crappy OS, more like something that booted like an OS, but I was gonna name it Klinux... Cause my last name is Kline I was kinda busy around that time, I read alot about it but never did anything... Well I hope you keep us updated on the project Oh and welcome
