Gyro you just won't listen will you, you just want to believe what you believe to keep up the argument. well ok fine if you want to keep this argument going i'll guess i play along. Ok tower of babble, god changed teh languages so ppl didn't waist there lives, by trying to build a tower to heaven. God has never killed anyone at least not a death that has finality to it, There are 2 deaths one for the body and the second is for your soul, god has never killed any1's soul. The old testament is basically the prequel to the coming of christ, the old testament had to happen b4 the jesus came. What happen in the old testament prepares the world for jesus, ok god didn't sell joseph into slavery Joseph's brothers did, god actually helped joseph through all of it making him eventually the second most powerful person in egypt. Again Gyro You obviously don't know your bible very well.

Hey yosh actually i did read it, and everything i've said is in the bible. So if he got the
"If there was a christian god i imagine he's pretty cool, not like the one the bible portrays" from reading my post either he didn't realize what i said was all in the bible or he just didn't read it. seeing as how most of what is pretty much common bible knowledge i assume he didn't read my post.

Arrogance is quite abundant right about now.
It depends doesn't it? Well I'll try to choose a less harsh word next time ay?

I love how Christians say "OMG IT'S IN THE BIBLE" as their proof.
That does NOTHING for a non-christian. Really. Not only did the English Catholic Church say not everything in the bible's not meant to be taken literally, but, even though it's a great moral guide, the bible doesn't necessarily dictate factual information all the time.

Whoah, credible, factual, makes sense, and it is in support of Christianity.
That is the kind of post that'd make people want to convert. I've never seen anybody do what you just did, Mr. Yoshi.
Wow... speechless...

If you're offended or think that's blasphemy then deal with it. I'm not even any religion and none of that offends me. If you were to say I go home and worship Satan, I'd shrug and say "Damn, that's weird", and probably continue playing PSO. It's called
religious tolerance.
I see no proof. There is no proof to any religion. I am not going to believe Christianity just like that because there is a gigantic mass of people who believe it without a doubt just because they aren't willing to question what they believe.
MarauderIIC wrote:And, no, I'm not a Christian. Nor am I Jewish, Hindu, Islamic, Scientologist, or any of those other religions (all) that think their belief system is the only correct one and everyone else is incorrect and must be converted or tolerated.
I agree. God damnit, I'm being blunt. I think you guys are full of -blam!-. I don't mind that you're full of -blam!-, though. But you guys do mind. So quit trying to convert people to your Christian armies. Christianity, the righteous religion of truth and justice--doesn't even support the right of the people to choose their faith? Bull.
Another thing. What if I don't worship god. You think that your god is ridden with such human tendencies such as revenge? That's what's going on with the whole hell thing. It's revenge against those who don't agree. You think a god isn't high enough above our level that he would banish somebody to the fiery pits of hell for all of eternity for not worshipping him without a doubt when all we have is called
faith and the bible. Faith, a belief which cannot be proven, Bibe, the book just full of contradictions, riddles, and other stuff that just couldn't ever be proven.
You can sit here and try to prove every contradiction bull, but it isn't gonna happen. Here have a go. Humor me. :D
Or actually, just don't because I don't mind you guys being christian. I'm not converting or recruiting anybody like you guys. I'm just here to present facts.
And, no, I'm not a Christian. Nor am I Jewish, Hindu, Islamic, Scientologist, or any of those other religions (all) that think their belief system is the only correct one and everyone else is incorrect and must be converted or tolerated.
Oh, and here's a good one, I'm disturbed that a bible would say such a thing
The sins of the father
ISA 14:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
DEU 24:16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
What have I done that's so bad? What have I said that's so blasphemous? If there is a christian god when I die, I'll be the first to repent and follow his will. I just don't see that happening.
That's not bad, it's just that nobody knows the meaning of
toleration...
Okay, I'm going to try to clear some things up. Everyone is a sinner. God loves everyone. He died for everyone. God just wants you to repent and love Him. If you love Him, then you want to obey Him, and following His word is not a chore. Also, you do not burn forever in Hell. Hell is basically the earth set on fire by God. You eventually burn up and are destroyed forever. There is so much stuff to say... I'll try to go in order. When you die, you are "asleep". When Jesus comes the second time, the dead in Christ will rise and the righteous living will meet him in the air. They'll go to Heaven. The nonrighteous will physically die. 1000 years will pass. New Jerusalem, aka Heaven, will come down to earth. The nonrighteous will rise and try to overtake the city and that's when Hell will start. They will burn up and be destroyed body and soul along with Satan and the earth will be remade and the righteous will live on the new earth. Also, it's not revenge and it does not please God to destroy you. The Bible even calls it His "strange act". But in the end, everyone, righteous and nonrighteous, will see that Satan is evil and God is good and gave everyone a chance. I will only post verses if you ask me to. I know they probably mean little to you. Of course, I would love to see people converted but I'm not going to force anybody. God gave us all free will. I just don't want you to make an uneducated desicion. Know all the facts, then make your choice.

Sounds like you took something from SPAWN and Constantine and put it together.
I don't know shit about the bible. Karkash, you're the ultimate example of some douche who tries to convert people to Christianity just because they believe in it themsleves. STFU.

Reading comprehension is your friend. I don't try to convert people. I put the facts out there. If you want to believe it, great. If you don't, oh well. I'm not going to harass you about it. I only go so far as putting the facts out there because since I do believe in this, I think you will go to Hell if you don't follow it. But if going to Hell is okay with you, or you don't think you're going, fine.

I'm not a denominational christian, and even I know those aren't facts, they're bullshit.

Wow it really is amazing that people will dare to comment on things they know nothing about and willingly risk ending up looking like an idiot, for the last time read the bible and then comeback and argue. What karkash said is actually all in the bible, ever heard of a book in the bible called revelations ?(btw thats retorical its quite obvious you haven't) I really can't believe you people, you know nothing about christianity (this is quite obvious),
but yet you have the audacity to tell a christian that they are full of bullshit when they talk about what the bible says, and you say it as if you know so much more. Now idk maybe i should go check the definition of a douchebag but that seems much more douchebag like to me, than karkash simply trying to give you the facts about our religion and ultimately sway you into becoming saved so you can enjoy the afterlife with us.

The unbelievers will "burn for all eternity" in a pit of flame.
http://www.exitmundi.nl/bijbel.htm A pretty good summary. BTW, I'm not going to pour through a useless old piece of crap book that you live by (because for chrissakes, for the third time, THE BIBLE IS NOT ALL KNOWING FOR NON-CHRISTIANS) just so you can prove a 'point'. This is what people don't realize, you can't prove the existence of god, because he is against all logical ideas. If he does indeed exist, that's how he wanted it to be.

That's my most passionate argument against Christianity. Assuming there is a Christian god, I feel that he'd love no Christian more than an Agnostic, no Hindu more than a Buddhist.
The man is a
god for christ's sake, do you think something as simple as religion is even going to be a factor in whether a person is virtuous and good? It seems that Christians can't understand that there
are good atheists, agnostics, buddhists. Morals
do exist without the Bible.
Any god who would send a Buddhist to hell just for being Buddhist isn't a god I'd worship.

Gyro, wtf? Did you not listen to what i showed you last night at all. If what the bible says is true than hell is when god puts all the people that suffer with unbearable guilt when there with him, out of there misery. Much like you would a very sick dog, he kills them at that point to end their suffering. Hell fire has two meaning one literal and the other one can be substituted with love the one that can be substituted with love is eternal the literal fire is not, it his love that gives you pain if you are not in harmony with him, and thenit is the literal fire that puts yu out of your misery, by killing you. Hell is really not the the evil side of god as many believe, it is actually the merciful side of him, he doesn't want you to suffer, so he gives you a quick death to end your psychological/emotional pain that you would have in his presence if you are not saved. But don't take that the wrong way i'm not saying god gives you pain, but you feel guilty for what you have done against him, that's what gives you pain in his presence.
Unblievers will not burn for eternity in flame, the righteous will (this is in the bible) however the people who are not saved will would also burn for eternity if it wasn't for god putting them out of their misery. The flame to those who are saved will not be painful thing at all since it is god's love.

I understood every bit of that symbolic interpretation. That post was assuming literal.
Now symbolicly, it shouldn't matter. I know that I'm a good person. I have morals even though I don't have enough faith in the bible to live by its every teaching, every one of the commandments is common sense, any douche bag would obey.
So there will be no hell for virtuous non-christians. I'm afraid that when I die I will feel no guilt if I find that there is a Christian god and I'm not a Christian.
I know I'm a good person. I know that's all that matters. Why would I feel guilt in the wake of a Christian god?
