Hi, all! I'm a noob programmer from sunny England. I'm trying (and for the most part, failing) to learn C++ and SDL. I'm also terminally lazy, and should be doing homework right now.

Also, I don't drink tea, my teeth aren't yellow and I don't talk like the queen.

Oh shit! It's a good thing that you clarified, because the minute somebody says that they're from England, that's my mental image. :D

Nice! My degree is in Computer Science. Hang in there dude, you've got some serious talent.

Yeah, generally the majority of computer literate folk dislike answering questions that could be solved in about 5 seconds with google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" button.

For Best Results:
---------------------
Step 1.) RTFM
Step 2.) Google It
Step 3.) Ask someone who you think might know (a.k.a. Lusikka)

Although Steps 1 and 2 may be swapped depending on the situation (no manual :P).. they must always come before step 3.

EDIT: This post is not all meant to be disrespectful, just pointing something out that I see happen often (asking easy-to-google questions).

The work you guys have done so far is great and cant wait to see the end result.
Hopefully gonna learn something from these forums.

... that's all i have to say for now really >_>

Joined a few days ago, but never got the chance to introduce myself until now.
Hi all, sparda here! The name comes from, well DMC, as many of you probably already know. I know, I know
the nickname is stupid and uncreative, but I feel sentimentally attached to it for some reason. I'm a subscriber
of Falco and the others at youtube.

Hopefully I can bother a few people, help even less, and all around annoy a few. I don't know squat about SDL,
but I'm pretty good at general system programming, and have dabbed a bit at Allegro, OpenGl, GDI/Win32API and DirectX9. Currently I'm finishing my bachelors in Computer Science (half way through!), and have managed to climb out of the Calculus and Physics mess/jungle that accompanies the said degree, and I'm now (finally) getting to the good stuff!
(meaning architecture/engineering principles and other esoteric crazy computer science stuff).

I'd like to help in anyway I can, but in order to do that, Falco and the guys NEED to release the code for this
game, don't they? 8-)

Anyway, nice to join the forums; I'll have to tell a few friends of mine join because this place looks like it can die really
easily at this point.

Later.

I dunno about dieing easily--It's been survived a good few years now. Though there isn't too much to see atm. ;P

Welcome to the forums and thanks for the subscription. The entire dev team are regulars here, as this is where we discuss and coordinate the development of Shadows of Elysian (under the hidden forum "private development"). Feel free to post questions, stroll, or contribute to/take from the community as you seem fit. xD

EDIT: OH shit! I recognize ya now from youtube. Ha, great to see ya on here.

Thanks for the welcome Arce. Damn, I must say though, your avatar is SWEET  (I'm thinking of
"borrowing it" ). In any case, I have to watch out at work, kinda dangerous to have Mario bang Peach
in the open like that...

Well, you could apply, if you wanted...

No, not really. Just seems that way. Welcome, though :)

Marauder, DMC stands for Devil May Cry, the awesomest most greatest freaking game that ever
existed (aside from Chrono Trigger and MGS, of course! 8-) ). Sparda is the Dark Knight (no not Batman),
who once destroyed Mundus, the god of the Underworld...

In any case, I just wanted to clear that up. Marauder, take a break from programming every now and then
and PLAY SOME GAMES. How could you not know about this awesomest game? 8-) thanks for the welcome Falco, and Marauder.

Take a break from programming? What the?! Don't listen to the man, Mar. We'll never finish the NPC Action queue if you follow his bad influences!
