So, hi guys... I guess since this is my first post, I will tell you all a little about myself.
My name is Cameron, i'm 16, soon to be 17...
I have been programming for a little while now...
I program mostly in Java (which i am taking classes at school in), but I prefer C++.
I am an aspiring game developer, and yeah... thats about all I can think of...
Oh yeah, i'm a night owl, its 4:30 in the morning right now for me
( i guess i make my best code in the wee hours of the morning ).
Also, anything graphical I do sucks...
Just wanted to introduce myself so, Hi!

So yeah, hi.
I make games, I guess. I don't actually FINISH games, because I just always fail to keep my attention to one thing. Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever really finished a game. I guess I'm just more of a theoretical learner. Also if you're really interested in programming just learning new things should be enough to keep you motivated. So I started programming doing Wii homebrew in C like a MAN and then started to wonder why I couldn't group these functions and variables together some way, learned about OOP and moved to C++. Then I started to wonder why I had to (de)allocate memory manually, write all these useless Get/Set functions and could do anything I wanted, except anything that had to do with the code itself. So I found C#, loved it, got spoiled by it, and now I dislike writing anything else. Yeah.
Did I mention this all started less than one year ago? Guess I learn pretty fast as well.
So I use C# pretty much exclusively. I also really like XNA as an Xbox framework but I REALLY dislike XNA as a PC framework. I hate "ZOMG .NET IS SLOOWW" people and "ZOMG .NET IS EVIL BEACAUSE IT'S MICRO$OFT (NOTE THE DOLLAR SIGN WHICH IMPLIES THAT THEY ARE A COMPANY THAT WANTS TO MAKE MONEY UNLIKE THE GOVERNMENT AND NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS)" people. I also hate Macs, but I think OSX is pretty nice. I pretty much dislike Apple anyway, and Objective-C is the 2nd most afwul modern language I have every seen (after anything XML related (XAML in particular (I also like parentheses (wheee it's like i'm writing lisp!)))). The iPad sucks as well (pun kind of intended?).
So yeah, that's the story of my life. Story of my liiiiiife~
I also dislike weeaboos that overuse the ~ suffix.

Yes, unfortunately it won't get out of my head. Rofltaco will now be used by me for the rest of my life

Hey all.
well I've always been bad at introducing myself, but here it goes...
I'm 17, live in Denmark, I'm a student at the local Higher Technical Examination program with maths/physics as majors, and a ton of other subjects, such as electrical engineering, chemistry etc.
I have been teaching myself C++ for a a year or 2 now; currently diving into the win32 and DirectX9 APIs. i also have some experience with python and web design as I've been a tech admin at a once pretty big CSS community
I first saw the dev videos 2 years ago i think, and i didn't come around these forums until now. It kept, and still does, me inspired to learn, for this i must thank you!
I don't know what else i can say... I'm pleased to meet you!
