I guess I was too caught up in this actual scenario (still defending our initial response to the first post in this topic) to realize what you were actually saying, qp. I did misconstrue your post by a long shot--it's harder to swallow your ego than you think.

Thanks alot for the response--and I sincerely mean this. It does take words like this to inspire change.

I actually had a discussion once about a young programmer so peppered up by his teachers that I believed he would be held from his potential by his ego. I remember you giving me an equally intelligent response at that point.
