I would suggest a JVC Everio hdd camera, like the one I have. It is around 300-400 dollars, but it has an internal hardrive that is HUGE. Very worth it and it is sexy :P. You might want to get a bigger battery though, the one it has only lasts like 2 hours before recharge is needed.

Alright out of the ordinary is to be expected.. but c'mon now that's just completely impractical.

Nope, not yet. And unfortunately, the majority of the new requests have been pretty lame... with the exception of maybe 1 or 2.
