Wow.
I'm going to assume somebody needs to like... not sure.
Try playing NES or something. I'm guessing that the capital "Hell" made you think I was pissed or this was flamage going on here. It should've been hell.
Anyway, now that we've established that. I'm just making sure that you're still working on it. I try to keep everybody informed of every single thing I do. You on the other hand haven't said a word about anything. I was just establishing that you were still working on it.
Talking of random NES marathons? Uhhh... do you know how long it's been since I've been able to play my beloved NES? I took sort of a break from the RPG system for a newfangled task of getting personal with some DC hardware that'll be integrated into the DC NEStix.
I didn't know if I was supposed to be working on the RPG system or not. I'm going to work on it now though. You see, I, unlike you, at least attempt to keep people up-to-date with what I'm doing. I thought you decided to take Christmas break as some sort of extensive break.
Seriously, when is the last time you posted ANYTHING about your work?
And BTW, I should've put a Mr. Green at the end of my post my bad.
All thought this has nothing to do with anything, I just want to see my animation in action!

I don't know what you want me to tell them about the level editor. Do you want me to post everyday saying "I'm still working on the editor"?
And the only reason I got mad was cause in the news your always talking about yourself being lazy and playing marathons of NES while I should be working madly on the editor. It just didn't seem fair. BTW, I forgot how to post news.

I see ONE time that I said I was going to have an NES marathon. That marathon was on Christmas BTW.
I thought I was the one doing all the work. Look at all of the news I post, all the topics I start to keep everybody up to date with my work. If I would've known that I wasn't the only one working on everything then you'd better believe that I'd of worked much harder.
I didn't know that you were slaving over this level editor. I didn't know that you were still working on it at all. All that I see is that when I go to TheChaosRift.com you see all of the news posted by ONE man which happens to be me. I thought I was the only one doing anything.

I didn't mean "work" as in posting, I meant it as programming and designing.
And trust me, I'm not "slaving" over anything. I'm not THAT enthusiastic about Nestix. As a matter of fact, I seem to have lost all inspiration for this project. I guess I just get that way when I feel depressed.

What is that supposed to mean? Are you hinting that I don't do any work and post? Are you saying that you don't do work as posting? Well maybe you should. Or at least let people know you're still alive. The last I had heard was that the level editor should be done in no time and is going great.
JS Lemming wrote:And trust me, I'm not "slaving" over anything. I'm not THAT enthusiastic about Nestix.
What? I don't get you. First you complain that you think you're doing all the work. Now you're telling me that you really haven't been doing all that much.
Dude, seriously, what's up? You're all up in my grill because you think you've been doing all the work, then you say that you haven't been doing that much.

NOO!!! You are twisting my words. I said I'm mad because you are like I should be constantly working on the editor. Thats what I saying, I'm NOT constantly working on the editor because it is boring and hard and time consuming. Jeeze.
And what I meant about posting is, I don't know what else to say. Besides, it looks like just me you and occasionaly spidy are the only guys who even go here anymore.... whats up with that?

Look, if we're ever gonna get this project done, we have to work on it. Yes, it's time consuming, and can be boring. I say that everyone just does what they're supposed to and go figure. Also, I did the tile editage. It's WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better. I'll get them to you guys.

What? Twisting your words? Your last post was completely irrelevant to all the rest. I couldn't understand what you were saying.
And what's this about me wanting you to always work on the level editor? I never tell you to work on it. Just because I ask how it's going? I don't see anywhere evidence where you could've derrived that I was "constantly wanting you to work on it". Show me where I said that and I'll STFU.

WTF?!?!?
Dark Crusader and FredDibnah post every once in a while.
Tvspelsfreak posts occassionally.
Arce and Showdin are now posting excessively, just in RoU.
Drakor and unasmer post at random intervals.
But then again, let's ask ourselves. This is a game development website. They are just people who stick around for the game related and general off-topic stuff. In my opinion, we haven't lured in the right kind of audiences.
This is why I'm now slaving my ass off on that tile Demo. You see, if you and I can get the tile demo to something semi-releasable, we'll be official DCDevvers in the DC Scene. Do you know what kind of respect and stuff we'd get? We'd get our website and creations plastered on DCemu and Consolevision. Do you know how many people would be visiting us then?
Anyway, you can definately slow down on your level editor. I'm trying to learn templates so I can make a templated linked list deal for anything that needs it. Then, you and I can try to add a little something to the DCTile demo to make it actually game-like. Can you think of anything simple/easy to do with it so that we can release it?

Listen, I didn't mean to start a 50 post argument. How about we forget about it? We still koo?
Sigh... I kinda want to make some really cheap mini game for the DreamCast befor I do more PC stuff... it seems like its just rotting in my floor. BTW, I still haven't recieved that CD Gyrovorbis. Since you probably didn't know my home address.. I'm going to asume you didn't send it... please reconsider! I really need it!!!! Please.

Same here. I'm making the TileDemo into something semi-respectable to release and become a Devver in the scene. You should do the same.
*resends the CD*

Morale boosters are an important part of any project. You occasionally must program something that is light and fluffy. Some big interest returns in MrAdventure, in more or less chronological order:
- working netcode (type something and have it output to someone else connected to you)
- working netcode for multiple clients (more than one person talking)
- rooms that you can move through
- working combat
- a title screen (that loads from a file and changable w/o restarting server)
- color
- levelups
And well, levelups were a while ago. So that's probably one reason why I haven't done a big flurry with the code lately. I started on grouping, but haven't finished -- when I start it again and consequently finish it, that'll probably get me going again.
But sometimes you just have to program yourself a colorful customizable login screen, ya know? (And show it to all your friends, too.)

Aw, that's why JSL isn't on the ES team. ;p
I really didn't delete the 27 pg NEStix topic all those years ago. I would call for a full investigation, but it all points to JSL...
Anyway, the reason I'm bumping up a topic this far back...I'm looking for my space game topics. Anyone find them, lemme know. The account I used back then was deleted and should register as "guest."
Marauder, you should definately start a "morale booster" archive somewhere...

Hmmm? Points to JSL my ass. Someone probably deleted it while tripping on weight loss pills.

ROFL! I love the extreme irony.
Obviously somebody took bitch pills instead of Kava? Wish I could sympathize...Or not?
Get back to work on something useful, like the Gyro remake, or shut your face. You're obviously too anxious to take lighthearted sarcasm or have your head too far up your ass to detect it--either way, I'm not in the mood to socialize with somebody incapable of dereferencing a pointer. =/
