Most Dells use low-level ATi cards, especially for PCI-E setups.Xylene wrote:I BET IT'S ONE BAD ASS DELL

Which are still bad for gaming. Not nearly as bad as intergrated video chipsets, but still bad. The X300SE is a pile of shit, and they're using the even lower model, the X300SE with HyperMemory which allocates system memory for video memory. Goodbye memory bandwidth!DJ Yoshi wrote:Most Dells use low-level ATi cards, especially for PCI-E setups.Xylene wrote:I BET IT'S ONE BAD ASS DELL

Therefore, you lose.
LOL Intel P4 EE (Expensive Edition!! LOLZOLZOLZ!!11)Imprezamtt wrote:Wutai wrote:Yeah! 8mb Integrated graphix own nVidia and ATI!!Xylene wrote:I BET IT'S ONE BAD ASS DELL

Dont be so quick to judge...i ran Doom 3 on High with my onboard Intel 915 graphics...at about 30 fps...hardly any lag..but now I have a X600XT (256mb)...but the Intel p4 3.0ghz extreme edition did help it out a bit..
Actually you're wrong. All P4's with the Prescott core have Hyperthreading. Hell, IIRC, even the Northwood core P4's past revision C included HyperThreading, except the new 5xx Prescott P4 chips. The Extreme Edition is just a P4 with added Level 3 cache.DJ Yoshi wrote:The X300SE isn't bad. It's not a great gaming card, but it runs most games, which is more than cards like the 5200 and 6200 can say.
The P4EE is just the P4 Prescott with Hyperthreading, and it isn't all that bad.
Oh really? It sure looks like the new LGA755 Prescott core CPU is still an oven. It's lower than the first models, but still high.DJ Yoshi wrote:I didn't say there were prescotts without hyperthreading, I just explained a feature of the Prescotts. And no, actually, P4's are still holding their own in everything but gaming, and actually are doing quite well there too. Also, they're not ovens anymore, only the first models were.

I still say the Northwood is a much better core, but the Prescotts are coming into their own. And a 6200 will not play more than the X300SE if they both have dedicated mem.
