360 SUCKS AGAIN!

Breaking news! (well, not really, we all knew it already)

The Xbox 360 is sucking hard! (in Japan)

The latest out of Tokyo reports that PlayStation 2 outsold Xbox 360 by 21,236 units in the last week of June.

Gosh durn that stupid POS2. It always beats the 360!

A May poll, conducted by Cross Marketing, found that out of 366 self-identified gamers, 256 of them want a PlayStation 3. Of the respondents that were permitted to select multiple next-generation consoles, 127 said they wanted Wii. Only 93 said they wanted Xbox 360.

Wait, what's that? A fair poll where people get to pick multiple consoles? Damn, 360 isn't looking to hot there either.

"I can't say I'm beaming with confidence in Japan," president and chief executive officer of Microsoft Japan Darren Huston admitted at a company event last Thursday. Not good.

Nah, bro, you shouldn't be either. Go grab you a POS2, enjoy some nice Guitar Hero and perhaps Taiko Drum Master, then when you're done, get online with Dreamcast and play PSO with me. There's no need for a CEO of Microsoft to exist in Japan anyway.

In other news the Xbox 360's launch is put into retrospect with every current-gen console:

Unfortunately, this isn't very pretty. The 360 clearly has the shittiest launch on the list. It only now caught up to the Gamecube's sales at this point. The 360 hasn't surpassed the Dreamcast (who surprisingly had the best launch) at its equivalent point in its lifecycle.

To conclude, Dreamcast would be outselling 360, Gamecube has been outselling 360, and every other console has, and will continue outselling it.

I'll admit, I've never really tried to hide it, the 360 is doing horribly in japan. But it still has some good japanese developers supporting it and some good japanese games coming to it. As i've said before game development is getting to expensive to just release on one console anymore and the japanese are learning this quickly. So it doesn't really matter if the 360 tanks in japan as long as it does well everywhere else. Japanese developers will still develop for it because there is a market for it in the rest of the world. But besides sales in Japan the console is doing extremely well and has some incredible games coming to it.
