Thanks!
Biggie Smalls. I wonder what he would say, if he wasn't dead.
Or maybe he just changed his name to Cedric the Entertainer.

Eh?

Maybe I only see resemblance because they're both overweight black men. I bet Biggie smelled bad. I think about that a lot.

I had to look up a picture of him cause I didn't know what he looked like lol. Little bit of critique. His nose could be a bit bigger and a little more detail/shading in the hat and outfit since you have so much in the face. Also since you seem to be going for a realistic style try to have as few outlines as possible. Try to create form with value instead of line. You do have a lot of value, just outlines here and there. Pretty nice though.

Thanks, I was hoping for some real advice like that. Yeah, I decided not to put any real detail or shading into the clothes and hat because I liked the outcome of the face alot, and I was afraid I might ruin the picture if I did anything else. Anyway, I've decided to try to do at least a couple portraits a week. This was my first, and I really enjoyed making it.

I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome. I think everyone who was familiar with Biggie recognized this as being him. Soooo. I'm happy.

I'm trying to get more serious with art, as I'd really like an art-related career.

I know how you feel. I tend to "forget" to draw feet when I accomplish a nice figure. Don't want to mess it up :D.

And yeah, I recognized it as Biggie Smalls right away, and I've only seen him on South Park lol.
