Space invaders

I, as many have done, am making a space invaders game for the first complete one. Though I just started today, and don't have much completed, I am pround of what I have. It took all day to get the sprites to look good and to get the m usic working. Below are some screenz of what I have so far. I'm too lazy to make an animated gif, so you'll just have to use your immagionation as too what it actually looks like, unless you want me to e-mail you what I have so far. (Cheers to SS for such high storage space accounts!)

As you may see, there is a ship, with lots of stars.

Like what I have so far? o.o

Yes, the backround is animated. I just dunno if it is too much and makes you dizzy.

So you made all that yourself? Those screens look very familiar. Very Very familiar.

Good job. I like it. Some advice. DONT SAVE ALL OF YOUR SCREEZ AS ONE IMAGE! LORD!

But besidest that it looks to have full potential particularly in the animation department.

Hey, JS Lemming, how does that look familiar? Does it have something to do with blitz?

They probably will look familiar, I got the sprites from a CD that came with the book game programming for teens. Because I am too lazy to read the book all the way through, I just took the CD and started trying to make crap. Sprites, music, ect are ALL from teh CD, and my credit DOES goto it.

The sprites that came with it are awsome! DO you have the book, JS lemming? If so, why don't you ever use all the glorious sprites that came with it?

It reminds me of Maneesh Sethi's space invaders demo I download a long time ago. The ships look exactly the same and the way the ship rotates left and right when you move is exactly the same.

HA! They are copyrighted!!! And I like originality (except for the mario tilesets and such, but that doesn't count  ). The phantom I believe has a copy of the blitz book, though me and Super Sonic agreed that it lacked in real game making learnage. Though The Phantom did say they are comming out with a super advanced game concept book aimed at blitz, but I wouldn't waist my penniez. Unless it was just supa koo.

Art

The artwork within this directory is for
you to use in your game programs. It
was created by Edgar L. Ibarra (the
Book Art subdirectory and Ari
Feldman (the spritelib_Gpl
subdirectory)

Special thanks goes to booth of them. Please
inform me by sending me an e-mail
(maneesh@sikhtimple.org) if
you wish to use any of these images in
your programs.
A quote from my CD. Doesn't sound too copywrited to use, considering I e-mailed that maneesh fellow (He was pretty nice about it all) and he said I could use them.

Anyway, if you don't reccamend me using those, then what? o.o
I'm just starting this program and only spent a couple of hours on it, so I'm open to ideas.

And BTW, I need something proffesional looking, I must turn this in at school, too. x.x

Oh, and now that I'm at it, those Mario tiles ARE copyrighted, and so's Mario.

Do you have permission from Nintendo? I have mine from Maneesh.

Werdna ten too!

He is one of my b3st friends. I could run to his house in less than thirty minutes.

Yeah, this post was rather off topic, as soon as someone says to, I shall delete it.
