So what are you guys doing? My room mate and I have developed a master plan. We are first going to my parents house to eat and take home a huge chunk of the feast. Then we are going to his house to eat and take home a huge chunk of the feast.
Then Peter is coming over later with a chunk of his meal. We're going to combine the three into a godly feast for kings then eat until we can't move. Peter, Marcel, and I were going to try to see if we could beat Chrono Trigger in one sitting at this point, haha.

Yes, this is the plan. Eat so much food that we won't be doing much moving over the next few days.

Nothing too exciting. When you're married, you have to entertain both sides of the family. But, its plenty of free food, so what the hell!
We're heading out to my parent's house in the morning and having Thanksgiving lunch with my family. Then driving back and having Thanksgiving dinner with her family.
But! Today, I took the day off, and despite a massive hangover, I might get some devving in.

Since I'm hourly, I don't get leave time.
Buuut, I am working 10 hour days so I can get Friday off too. I'm so excited.
Absolutely nothing is getting done today at work. I've been watching CNN for hours straight.

There is no "Thanksgiving" in Europe. We never take things for granted. It's a default for us to be generous..
*a golden halo of stars glows above my head..*

Well I'm going to do what I always do as if there is nothing different, I could go to my family's thanksgiving but I think it would be strange after missing 3 in a row...

not from America, so I don't celebrate thanksgiving.
normally I would be going to college, after a lie in, do some programming in computing, and then watch a film for 2 hours in media.
But i'm ill, so i'll probably be lying in bed, posting on forums, and coughing uncontrollably, just like I am right now, should be fun
does anyone do anything special at thanksgiving?, all I know about thanksgiving is that you usally have a roast turkey...

Oh, Americans go above and beyond that. We cook turkeys, hams, ducks, and all sorts of fowl, cook huge side dishes, and create elaborate feasts. Traditionally the entire day is spent doing absolutely nothing but eating until it hurts to breathe then (at least for me) laying on the floor groaning while you sip coffee and try to play Super Nintendo.
...Man, I love being an American.

Yeah my Thanksgiving is probably like your Christmas feast.. I'm not sure about everyone else but my family usually just has a normal meal on Christmas, sometimes we cook a ham. I'm going to my uncle's house and visiting with family for Thanksgiving, then Friday I'm going up to see my dad.

Aight, its 1am and Thanksgiving is officially here.
So, which do you guys prefer - Cornbread Dressing or Stuffing?
If you don't know the difference, I'm gonna guess you like Stuffing. :P
I was born in Alabama and raised in Illinois, so I've had my fair share of both. To me, nothing beats cornbread dressing with canned cranberry sauce (with the aluminum can ridges intact) ...and it's only a few hours away, can't wait!
