Wrecked my piece of shit.

Yes, and nobody really cares. My piece of shit Hyundai that I have been driving since I was 16 is no more. Three of the doors were screwed, the gas lid had broken off, the transmission was completely fucked, half the speakers were blown out, the interior looked like shit, etc.
I was even thinking to myself the day of the incident that this would be the last time I would ever drive that car. I have my Prius now, but I don't yet have a license plate for it. I can't get on the arsenal (my work) with it. This was also my last day of work, so I drove the piece of shit.
On base, the lights are all flashing stop and yield rather than actual lights at the intersection. I'm sure that you can see where I'm going...
I roll up to a four way intersection right in front of my work. I have never been at work this early, so I have never been to this intersection without the standard traffic lights. I had a flashing red light, so I roll up and stop of course. I was the first person at the intersection, then this chick to my right (who was turning left) rolled on up and STOPPED.
She fucking STOPPED. What does this imply? She's yielding to me. Now why would she do that? The only reason should be if it were a four way stop. So this means that she also had a flashing red light. So this means its my turn. I start driving--AND BAM. This guy comes from behind her (she was in the turn lane, dude was in the straight lane) and I T-bone him.
He was going at least 50mph in a giant ass F150 truck. I was going probably 10 in a piece of shit Hyundai Accent. My car basically exploded and spun at least 90 degrees. The hood frisbeed across the street, my entire front end was either crushed or destroyed, and NOT A SINGLE AIRBAG WENT OFF. What a piece of shit.
So the chick that yielded to me comes running over screaming "OMFG OMFG ARE YOU OKAY?!?!" I crawl out of the twisted wreckage without even a scratch and tell her to calm the fuck down. Then she looks at me completely seriously and says "I thought you were supposed to stop at a flashing light." I thought that she was just being a bitch and implying that I didn't stop fully or something, so I said "Oh, sarcasm, right?" and she replied "No! I'm serious! I think it's his fault!"
SO I LOOK UP AT THE STREET LIGHT. SHE AND THE GUY THAT I HIT HAD A FLASHING YELLOW LIGHT. Why the fuck was she yielding to me?
But anyway, the two of us walk over to dude and his truck. It did almost nothing to it. He had a little dent in the BOTTOM of his door from my Hyundai. When we hit, he kept driving and pulled over. His airbags went off, and he climbed out of the car like "OMFG I ALMOST DIED!!!! THE AIRBAGS SAVED MY LIFE!!!!"
So the cops show up and all that standard procedure stuff. The cop gets the story from the chick (she was the "witness"). He then comes over and doesn't ask me my side of the story, but tells me instead that it was MY FAULT.
Chick cleverly left out the part where she stopped at the intersection. Her car was even still sitting in the same spot during this entire process with her left turn signal on. If you were to roll up to an intersection like that, and somebody in the perpendicular lane STOPS, would you not assume that it's a four way stop and continue on, since it would be your turn?
Not only that, but I didn't see the truck flying out of nowhere, because she was in the lane in front of him. So what the fuck? If I had the opportunity to do that again, I would have made the same mistake every time, because THAT WAS THE LOGICAL THING TO DO.
My insurance company isn't going to fault me on it, though. My rates don't go up, and I don't get penalized. The only objective difference that this made was get rid of a car that I would have never driven again (I actually laughed) and piss me off slightly.
But yeah after a few nights of drinking, I'm back on the forums now.
