Hello late twenties...

Well, today I turned 28, so I'm officially in my late twenties. I guess technically 27 was too, but I didn't want to admit it.

I'm at work today, but we're all going out for greesy food and margaritas for lunch - goodbye productivity. :)

Well, happy birthday!

A friend was just telling me the other day that I'll officially be in my mid twenties when I turn 25 in March, although 24 counts I think.

Oh, and I noticed you're in Texas, where do you work?

Mmmmm... the food and margaritas sounds like a perfect way to celebrate.

Yeah, I think I considered 24 thru 27 my mid twenties.. (One of these days, you whippersnappers around here will understand...)

Anyways, I work for an ad agency in Dallas. We do alot of pharmaceutical websites, but I build internal applications to manage people and money.

No shit dude! Although I'm taking a short break from Golvellius for my next video...but in a week or two, it's back to coding.

And, lunch consisted of cheese fries, nachos, and 3 margaritas - so playing GH3 in the lounge sounds like way more fun than working right now...

Ah, okay. I saw a developer in TX and I thought it'd be funny if you worked at Pi; they do all our PS2, PS3, and Wii ports. But I think they're in Houston actually, not Dallas.

Dude, I'd love to be in the gaming industry... That's the whole reason I got into programming, but I started my career while I was still in college, and never had the guts to make that leap.

Happy birthday! I hope you have a good one :)

As for the point about 'taking the leap' I can imagine it's a big step, because you need to be sure you're getting a decent income to support yourself, and finding someone who'll hire someone without industry specific experience might prove difficult (it's a viscious circle really, you need the experience to get hire, but you need to get hired for the experience)

There's never any harm enquiring about these things though ;)

If I don't get him out of the habit now, he's going to do it to me in 5 years! :D

Volunteering/internships break that. People are usually willing to hire you for free, and if you have some sort of experience somewhere, chances are you won't do format NETWORKDRIVE: /y (and cost them money instead of earning them at least a little bit)

Wha?! We men don't SAY happy birthday, that's for women! We buy said friend either 1) lap dance at the local strip joint 2) celebratory booze. Trufun has real friends! ;)

I would suggest the birthday bumps... but 29 bumps from everyone in this forum would probably leave you in a terrible state

If he gets too old he'll no longer be able to use that avatar of his from "The Wizard". Glad I'm not the only one who saw that movie.
