My piano-keyboard doesn't have a music rack on it.

Because apparently professional musicians don't NEED to read sheet music!

Anyway, I coded a sheet-music scrolley thing instead.

The code is really awful, though. It's basically just enough to get it working, to be improved upon as needed.
(Like, if I want to play more than just Hikari, lol)

Are you gonna have it read in songs from a text file??? Then you can write your own...

Ha, that's pretty cool. If I was better at reading music I'd consider using it, but I generally memorize the music I play because my reading skills aren't quite up to par. :(

Do you have any recommendations as far as how to practice reading music goes? (Other than "practice" ).

That's really cool. You should look into reading MIDI files with that, I'm pretty sure there are libraries that deal with that stuff. Then you could change things and not have to worry about recreating the jpgs. It's an absolutely great idea, and better than having real sheet music.

And of course wonderful playing. I had to take some basic piano in college, but now I stick to guitars, both real and plastic.
