Quick Attack !ISE - Yes or No?

Post by Moosader »

I was thinking that, over the break, I would get around to recoding Quix Attax, since the 2nd game has awful menus and code. I was also going to make a tutorial explaining the diff. steps, and maybe a video tutorial eventually.

But I was wondering: Is the game even really worthwhile to keep up with? It's a four-player (QA3 would be 3 player) one-keyboard game, and it's pretty rudimentary. I mean, it may be good for a tutorial since it's so basic.

I was also thinking of QA!ISE having an SDL and Allegro version

This original version is awful, back when I was still new to Allegro:

Woot my name wins
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

 brilliant.

Yes, by all means, go for it! I love the idea of bringing in characters from your other games.

I was wondering what style to have the character art be in. I thought my GIMP stuff looks kind of messy though.

Here's a quick flash version:

The stuff I do in flash is a lot cleaner.
Here's an example of a better flash drawing

Yeah, I think I like the Flash versions better. Plus, it's vector (I'm assuming), so you can scale it easily in the future.
