Has anyone else heard of this? It sounds interesting. Basically you can play any of the high-end gaming titles without a high-end machine - because the game is running on another server and being streamed in realtime.

I'm still skeptical because you're going to have to have one serious connection to stream a fullscreen game running at 60fps.

I signed up for the beta. I've got a crappy computer and a nice internet connection, so we'll see how it works...

I am also skeptical, but it's a really cool idea. We'll see what happens.

At the beginning I was very skeptical too, but if you have a decent connection and the next OnLive-Server is not more than 50 miles away I could imagine that you can enjoy an acceptable gaming experience. The thing I like most about it is that I could play high end games on Linux ;)

I don't think it's going any where to be honest.

You may not need a good computer, but you'll need a stable connection for sure.
And the fact that you never actually own your game is kinda disappointing to me, I like actually having the physical game, knowing what I spent on is worth more then an access to some servers.
It's not for everyone, I know I wont be using it, but it seems kind of interesting.

But I wont be surprised when people complain when they get lag in story mode lol.

There is a similar development I heard of, which does similar stuff, just with cable (television) instead of the internet.

Imagine this, you buy your new cable connection next year, and among the channels you find the "Call of Duty 4","Crysis","WhatEverGame" channels that are the regular price and no hassle from your side, now isn't that great?
