Sweet, so you're taking five classes, full time. I'm going easy this semester, I'll be taking only 4 classes (and one lab), then I'll take two classes during the winter session. I would have thought that you dealt with microprocessors as a class already, being CPE and all. Sometimes I leave classes off for later, like "writing for engineers," which is not writing for engineers at all, just another English class.

Haha, my networking teacher just said that he requires his assignments be written in C--no C++. All of the students are freaking out.

Looks nice so far. I'm eagerly awaiting my operating systems class.

I don't start until the 28th. :(
Hope I get a few decent classes as a freshman.

 You should show 'em your procedural vs. OO Venn diagram.

We write assembly programs to run on our microprocessors in lower level classes. Now we're designing the actual microprocessor and writing ASM/C software to use the microprocessor to do things. Looking at the lab assignments, the first assignment is to create a program to allow a computer to remotely turn off a lightbulb via the internet. The microprocessor has an ethernet, serial, infra-red (and I think blue tooth) port. We're going to be screwing with other I/O and data manipulation later.

Damn dude, seven classes (if you count the labs)...ouch. How many hours is that?

You just got out of summer classes a couple of weeks ago - did you manage to get any ES time in that short little break?

These are actually fairly easy for me. It's mostly stuff that i already know.

I got a bit of ES in, but me, Peter, and Kendall are all going to the same place now (Peter is also CPE). We're going to be together more often to work between classes.

I don't start until the 26th but I'm really looking forward to my classes. Here's the gist of my schedule:

- Intro to Software Engineering
- Algorithms
- Cryptography
- Linear Algebra
- Global History Studies
- German III

Bakkon - Algorithms, Cryptography, and Linear Algebra. All great classes.

Ah, my first days back:

Foundations of math/ Set theory
Analysis of Algorithms
Object Oriented Programming in Java
Assembly Language
(hopefully) Programming Langauges
(instead of) Western Civ II (sick!)

Yeah, I still have a history requirement to fulfill, unfortunately. I'm hoping to convince my advisor to let me take Programming Languages instead, so that I can drop History, even though I'm taking one of the pre-reqs to the class concurrently (OO in Java).

Anyway, my history class was nothing but a whole lot of fail. Can you believe that the guy blatantly blamed the Inquisition on SCIENCE? Um.... what??

Schedule:

- Retail Operations
- Networking I
- English IV
- Algebra Studyskills

Everything has been topsy turvy moving to another state and all. I especially hate the fact that my graduation test results didnt transfer (I shouldnt have to take studyskills ><). I know life can suck sometimes, but this REALLY sucks!!!
