And nobody I've talked to seems to know, either. The only real guess is for not starting a war yet.
Sucks to be them?Netwatcher wrote:What about all the other presidents who hasn't started a war?

weird, i expected Ahmadenijad to get it.
We all know it was positive discrimination, I know he did absolutely nothing for Israel and Iraq in the UN meeting, and I really don't see why he got it other then the reason stated above.
Apparently he will always be remembered as the man who "tried".MarauderIIC wrote:http://nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/peac ... ates/2009/
Page is taking forever to load, but wikipedia says "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples." Which means nothing to me.
Unlike, say, the last 2008 & 2007's, which are "for his important efforts, on several continents and over more than three decades, to resolve international conflicts" and "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change".
Yeah dude, that is the biggest pile of shit I've heard in a long time.MarauderIIC wrote:http://nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/peac ... ates/2009/

I think that's fundamentally flawed; Al Gore has done a lot to make people aware of climate crisis.Bakkon wrote:The Nobel Peace Prize lost all integrity when Al Gore won his. I guess you win them for broken promises now.
what does that even mean... its fundamentally flawed.. anyways..Moosader wrote:I think that's fundamentally flawed; Al Gore has done a lot to make people aware of climate crisis.Bakkon wrote:The Nobel Peace Prize lost all integrity when Al Gore won his. I guess you win them for broken promises now.
However, for Obama, I agree he hasn't really done anything yet to really deserve it.
I don't believe in "global warming" or "climate change" or whatever new name they have for it. He also makes a profit off of this whole "green" movement.Moosader wrote:I think that's fundamentally flawed; Al Gore has done a lot to make people aware of climate crisis.
