This is from the game's only programmer Ed Boon, the original 34010 Assembly code for Sonya Blade's special move, the square wave punch. I don't know why, but I always like seeing snippets of code from my favorite games, especially from back in the day. I might be the only one to enjoy this, but I figure I'd share it.

Wow, seeing that Mortal Kombat is one of the reasons that I wanted to learn how to program in the first place, that is just badass!

He's actually posted some pretty cool images to his gallery:

Wow, that's really interesting to hear you say that because that's the exact same thing with me. Ed Boon was the first face of a game programmer that I recall seeing, I also saw some behind the scene footage and it really pumped me up with the desire to learn how to do what he was doing. One man crew concept back in the day gave me hope of one day being able to do something as badass as MK.

I still look up to him a bit, still working on the series he loves. You constantly hear companies making millions from their 4 star title then whine about not working on anything else. I understand the need to branch out, go do it, don't bitch that your one game series keeps making you so much money. Anyway, ups and downs Ed Boon is still around making MK games and loves doing so... it's inspiring.
