What is the best game for split-screen, multiplayer enjoyment?
From what I've played, I think S.S.B.Melee, or Timesplitters 2.

everyone knows about emulators and how good they are for the old consoles (n64)
all i need now would be an offical n64 controller for a joystick and it would definatly be "007 golden eye" with some special cheat like paintball mode.

I didn't want to reply here because I knew I couldn't decide on the best multiplayer game. The question has been tearing me appart all day though. So now, I've decided to do it like this:
Atari 26 - 7800
Mario Brothers
NES
Gauntlet II
Bomberman II
Genesis
Golden Axe
Sonic II
Sonic III and Knuckles
Super Nintendo
KIRBY SUPERSTAR
Sega Saturn
Sonic R
Sonic Jam
Playstation
Crash Bash
Rampage
Nintendo 64
Diddy Kong Racing
Duke Nukem
Dreamcast
Samba De Amigo
Bomberman Online
Ooga Booga
Quake III Arena
Playstation 2
James Bond: Nightfire
Crash Nitro Kart
X-box
Halo
LameQbe

It's the best multiplayer console out there.
Super Monkey Ball 1&2
Phantasy Star Online ep.1&2
F-Zero GX
Super Smash Bros Melee
Timesplitters 2
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
and some more....
They are all 4 player games and they're all great!
I've spent literally thousands of hours with my friends playing those games, add the single player games as well and you have one heck of a console!
Stop dissing the Gamecube!

He's right. The Gamecube is a great console, just like the others.

i don't like the gamecube.... i can't work it.
you really have to have one to understand how the controller fits in your hand and i just don't have the gc skillz...
now for gc i don't have any multiplayer games that i have played and enjoyed. i prefer the original super smash brothers over melee but that is because of the whole controller issue.

I'm just kidding. I love t3h Qbe.
I said that for 2 reasons.
1) I was surprised when I woke up on christmas 2 years ago after asking for a $150 Qbe and found a $300 PS2... To this day I never understood that. :watiff:
2) I love the name "LameCube". I would diss PS2 and X-box as well, but I can't think of any good names (there's Sex-Box, but that isn't dissing 0_o).
Look at it this way. Sonic games were remade for GC, all of the DC games that I loved and cherished so much on DC were reinvented for t3h Qbe. I stopped hating it long ago. I just like dissing non-Sega things. Nothing personal!

What is he talking about? How can the Gamecube controler be confusing? The PS2 controler has more buttons than the Gamecube. Oh and just for the sake of argument the Gamecube is a very very good console. How could only one person say that Goldeneye was good? It was the best!!!!!!
Oh and Gyro the game you wont shut up about Samba de amego is no longer a DC exclusive it is goin to be on PS2 eye toy. Mwhahahahahahah!

I prefer t3h "Qbe".
As for Samba De Amigo, it sorta is still going to be exclusively for Dreamcast, because it'll be in a compilation of Sega games from the DC/Saturn era recreated for your PS2 eyetoy. It'll be released in November under the title of "Sega SuperStars". The Samba De Amigo in it doesn't even use maraccas. You wave your hands (I'll still use maraccas though). There is no 2 player and I'll bet you only get like 4 songs.
I think it'll be all watered down and half-assed because of all of the other games on that disc....
