Here in Troy,Al were going to get between 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow (Friday) and we wont have school, yippee! I'm going to have a four day, no homework(finally), weekend because of presidents day and our snow day. I hope that someone else will be as lucky as me.

Peace,
Zach

Let's see... here in good ol' southwestern PA, we had about 20in of snow last weekend and about 8in more through out the week. Had to work from home yesterday as I couldn't make it on the roads.... you enjoy your 2-4. ;)

Goddamn, 2-4 inches gets your school canceled? Back when I was in high school, we needed atleast a foot before anyone started complaining.

You live in Troy, Alabama? Damn. It's good to have some more local people hanging out on these boards.

Enjoy the snow day. They used to be the happiest days of my life (I remember purposely not doing my homework and praying to god the snow would stick). I also remember spending entire snowdays trying to make a snowman then playing Duke Nukem 64 4 player.

We got 11.4 inches (giggity) in Dallas yesterday. That's the most snowfall in Dallas in a single day in recorded history. It was pretty damn cool. It started snowing about 4AM and didn't let up until 2AM the next morning.

The roads are awful and everything is closed, but I still had to work from home today. :( Damn you, VPN!

That's one thing I love about living in Seattle, assuming you don't have to drive anywhere. If it snows even a little over an inch, everything shuts down. Unfortunately you have to deal with all the expected comments of the form: "This is NOTHING. In [my home town/state], we have [insert worse conditions here]." And then if you do drive, you have to deal with the drivers who want nothing more than to show off how great and experienced they are at driving in the snow, so they over-compensate and drive like maniacs, making it more dangerous for everyone around them.

We actually ended up having about 7-8 inches(at 4pm it was built up), it was fun while it lasted but now everything is melting and I probably wont see snow in Troy for another 5-10 maybe even 20 years(this much), we were lucky to get this much and my dad said it hasn't snowed this much since like the early 90's.

Edit:BTW DON'T eat the yellow snow... don't ask how I know that...
