I found this program when searching for Blender tutorials: http://www.makehuman.org/
You can design and customize human character models and export them into wavefront(*.obj) or in collada(*.dae) which both can be imported into Blender and Lightwave 3D.
Here is a video on it:

I downloaded for myself and they updated it a bit from the last version but it is still easy to understand. And here is a tip: if you running it on Vista or Win 7 you HAVE to run as admin or else you cannot save or export.
P.S. All exported files can be found in the "Exports" folder in the installation directory

Very useful for anyone working with 3D models I believe. Quick Question though, how user friendly is it?
1 being RPG Maker
10 being old ass coding.

Three-dimensional (3D) computer graphics are widely used and are all too common to see anywhere.Blender is free and open source 3D modeling and animation application, which can be used for modeling, landing, UV texturing, rigging , water simulations, animation, rendering and creating interactive 3D applications.I suggests, you can use 3D max.It is also better many other instruments of flexibility to create animations.
