Quick network card question

I am wondering, if I get a wireless PCI card(
this one) will I need to remove the standard ethernet card I have now? I do have enough slots, so that wouldn't be an issue. I use linux and windows, so I don't know if either of those would have a problem discerning which of the two internet cards are primary.

no you can use both.

I don't think so. There's a configuration in Windows (and maybe one in some form of linux?) that can bridge two connections, so you can get more speed by combining them, but as long as you're getting signal with one, I'm pretty sure it'll just use that.

You should be ok, but sometimes linux can have problems with wireless cards. The wireless card in my laptop didn't have a native linux driver so it was a real bitch to set up.

It shouldn't have any problems. The reviews said it worked fine with my Linux distro.

Lol I think having a wired and a wireless connection would defeat the purpose
Well, at least it would since I'll be putting my computer in my room which has no ethernet.

Not really. My brother and I have a habit of sending LARGE files to each other, plus he's only got a smallish drive so he can't store that much. Right now, we use wireless for the internet (ADSL -> wireless modem/router) and use a 1gbps switch for file sharing/streaming. I'd love to just get arid of the wireless totally but snaking cable through the house isn't appealing =\
