I am planning to make a game for the PSP, I would like to know if I have to hack my PSP to put the game on it?
I am only going to make a pong clone.

To the best of my knowledge, yes, how else can one boot their own files?

You'll have to load up custom firmware that supports homebrew. Do a quick googlesearch for 'PSP custom firmware' and you should find plenty of information on getting this done. The version of your psp will often change the way the firmware must be loaded.

Actually, i don't know about this... technically, you can reverse the soft modding. If you do that BEFORE sending it in for hardware repairs, how would they know?

Yeah, that's definitely true. I was just thinking if somehow you bricked your PSP with the custom firmware on, Sony would be like "What he HELL?!"
