Could use some help

So today I got a five dollar computer at a rummage sale...

Well the previous owners didn't get rid of their old stuff, and they have a password on their account... I can't get into the darn thing. I've booted into damn small linux, but that isn't really helping as I have no idea where the passwords would be located, nor the encryption they would have and how to extract said passwords, or reinstall windows

I don't have any CDs big enough for a distro like ubuntu, or I would just install that. I would also instal from a USB drive, but the mobo is too old to support loading from flash drive believe it or not...

so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

especially if you know of any small desktop linux distros I could use to update drivers and update the mobo with...

Why don't you simply wipe it? If you really want the data off it first, then you connect its hard drive to another computer or boot from CD/USB and copy everything to removable media.

There are both CD and DVD releases of Ubuntu free to download.

And if you can't boot puppy from flash drive, there's a utility called wakepup which lets you boot from the flash drive via a floppy disk. ;)

Although if you have a floppy drive, your chances of having a USB port are greatly reduced.

@eatcomics: so is everything set up?
