Elysian Shadows

I'm not sure if there are many fans of the George R.R. Martin book series "A song of Ice and Fire" but i thought i'd let you guys know that there's a tv series currently in production about it and it's being recorded in locations not to far from where i live. If any of you haven't read these books, i would really recommend them. If anyones interested it's gonna be aired on HBO Spring 2011(hopefully). I'm really excited about it since nothing that interesting ever really happens near where i live. I'm pretty sure i know why they're filming in Ireland aswell, the tag line for the series is "Winter is coming" and to be honest, in Ireland, we have winter for 9/10ths of the year anyway lol.

The title is interesting, I'll check it out.

Well it's not so much snow as just really shit weather all the time lol ie cold wet miserable etc, plus when it does snow it'll rain and melt it all anyway. This summer we've had about 3 weeks of nice weather. Also theres quite alot of unspoiled landscape so i'm sure that's affected their decision too.
