I just want to make a list of all the best software for specific things. First I would like to say what software I love, if you like the same software you can still say it. I'm mostly aiming for commercial software or just non open source/free due to the extensive list that already exists on the forums.
My favorites software(not including opensource and shareware)
3D modeling:
Autodesk Maya
Autodesk MudBox
2D painting/general 2D graphics:
Photoshop Elements
Photoshop CS#
Sound and Music:
Sonar
Fruity Loops #
Any other types/genre to add?
Hardware section
Drawing and 2D:
Bamboo Tablet Craft
Sound and Music:
None so far, I use my cheap computer speakers and have no microphone
This is really all, so lets hear what you all use!

Software Development:
MSVS 2010 Professional (C++/C# & XNA)
3D modeling:
3D Studio Max
Sound and Music:
Sound Forge (Editing)
Fruity Loops (Loop Creation)
Presonus Studio One (Mixing)
REAPER (MIDI)
Web Browser:
Firefox/Chrome - Don't fully like either, but Firefox generally has less problems for me
http://www.rockmelt.com/ <---My brother sent me this though, so I'll be checking that out.
Antivirus/Firewall:
"Fuk dat, I prefer uninhibited CPU/RAM/Network"
Could not agree more. Not only that, but viruses are made specifically for antivirus software now, which ironically makes it
easier to plant malicious software.

Sweet action, thanks for the additions, I'll have to look into Ableton Live, I hear it's pretty good, XSI might be an option too. But me and Andrew are both using Maya and Mudbox for our games xD so we'll see.
