Hey guys-
We're getting things set up for our next game development competition at the Moosader boards:
http://forum.moosader.com/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=839

The theme is Limited Resources / Asset Pool; Basically, during Phase I of the competition, people will submit music and art assets to a pool under a CC license, and with a few restrictions on frames of animation / dimensions, etc.

During Phase II, teams will form, or people can work solo, to create a game. There are no restrictions on the game, except that they can only use X amount of assets, and the assets must be from the Asset Pool that was built up.

Now yes, it will result in a lot of games that look similar, but in a way that's part of the challenge: What creative twists will different people take with the same assets?

Additionally, it frees up the programmers from having to do much of any work as far as assets go. Less asset work, more time to code, less time to worry about having a "good looking game" and getting hung up on that.

Additionally, if it's ok with the artist, I would like to put the assets created for this competition on OpenArt for more people to use as well.
