Elysian Shadows

ES Community,

I've created an official Elysian Shadows hamachi network that we can use to LAN various games.
I don't have any specific events planned, but feel free to start up your own games using this network.

Don't know what Hamachi is?
Hamachi allows you to create a virtual private network, enabling clients to connect to each as if they were on the same local area network.

Okay, this is good. So are we just going to use this forum to organize running servers for the different games?

Sure, you can do it here. Maybe if this thread gets too big I could make a whole section dedicated to it, but we'll have to see how much interest there actually is. For now lets try to get everyone that has Hamachi to join the network (there's currently only one other user besides me).

Also, everyone please set your name to something that we can use to identify you by on the network. Try not to have "MIKE-PC" or "LAPTOP1".

I have a dedicated server that I used for Minecraft for a while and recently stopped playing as much, I had up to 20 people at a time (stable), though It's not much, It works. But anyways It's up for use now and I am willing to set one up for any game.... I'm thinking now Gmod, CS source, or Terraria (when I get it).

P.S. I just want to say that the server wasn't always a server so If that was my original plan It would be much faster, But its the best I can do at this point. I don't really have the money to build(or buy) a new PC......

I joined, but I could have sworn I changed my name, but now I did, it's the same as my Elysian Shadows username.

Hmm, I'm still seeing KJS-COMPUTER.

Just joined the server. I used to use hamachi years ago to play games with some friends of mine. It's a great program

I've never used Hamachi, but I downloaded it and joined the network. If anyone gets a minecraft server up and running through it, let me know . That's really the only game I have on my PC haha XD

I would host Terraria or Minecraft, but I'm unsure how stable my internet is.
The tech concluded either it was a bad modem or faulty wiring, and they sent a new modem, which should be here Tuesday.
The internet basically has been fluctuating on and off, so playing any game is unbearable, If anyone knows a solution to this I would appreciate it.
Anyways, whenever it's working again I'll make sure to post here.
And for Hamachi, I have no idea why the name keeps changing back; This is the third time I've changed it.

Just changed my name to same as on here, and joined.

Update: I deleted the old network and created a new one with the name "TheChaosRift", the password is still 1. The reasoning being that I lost admin access to the old one when I formatted my computer. I'll be sure to back the new one up. Please join the new network!

I am way behind at looking at posts and threads on this entire forum; however, I ran across this post at exactly the right time. I just finished up with finals, and at one time I remember using Hamachi as a solution to continue playing one of my favorite games of all time...Age of Empires II. Is there anyone else on this forum that plays or would be interested in playing over the Christmas holidays?
