My first Side-Scroller RPG

Hi! You guys may or may not know me from the forums, as I do not post very often. I recently picked up a book for C++ and started making 2D Games using Allegro. After consistently making small games using primitive shapes, I considered myself ready to start a full game.
Currently, there are only basic platforming properties to the game such as collision and jumping. So I'm not going to get too far into my plans for the game right now, and just edit this topic with any updates that I add.
For now, I have one screen shot that is currently using a transparent rectangle as the player sprite, which is the player's bounding box for collision.
I'll add more screen shots later, only because its currently 6:45 am and I have to leave for school in about 10 minutes.
