I've been seeing a little on this game in GamePro and EGM for awhile now. I'm sorta skeptical (as with every newfangled Mario title). While the game actually looks fairly nice 'n' nastolgic, I think it'll help to plumet the Mario series even more.

No, I'm not hating. Look at the graphics. Nice. Awesome. I like. Nintendo is obviously trying to get their "Yoshi's Island" visuals on. That's damn straight with me, Yoshi's Island was nothing short of perfection.

After reading the IGM article, I'm disappointed. This doesn't sound like full-game material. As with most new DS games, it's just another neat little minigame type thing.

It seems like all that developers want to do is make little minigames for the DS to demonstrate its capabilities. Maybe the touch-screen was just a nice little feature after all. Maybe the second screen was nice 'n' glamorous at first, but it is all starting to seem useless now.

Look, I'm not seeing any real games being made here. These minigames are nice, but they're going to lead to the ultimate destruction of the DS. Maybe I am going to buy a PSP. The PSP is going to suck balls undoubtedly for numerous reasons, but at least I know there will be a few actual games released.

Another thing that I need to address is the name. "Yoshi's Touch and Go". I think you get the picture. The targetted audience is probably somewhere between -3 and -10 years old...

IGN wrote:Using the Nintendo DS system's two screens and touch screen capability, players must help Yoshi guard Baby Mario from harmful Shy Guys and other Mario-type enemies as he floats defenselessly to the ground. The objective is to overcome all sorts of obstacles to guide him to safety. On vertical-action levels, players must use the stylus to draw clouds on the touch screen to protect Baby Mario from enemies and lead him to Yoshi. On horizontal side-scrolling levels, players must use the stylus to look out for Yoshi as he gallops across the countryside. Yoshi's Touch & Go features two-player wireless play. The game originally debuted as touch-screen tech demo developed for E3 2004.

Snooorzeville. I agree with the DS thing. Hopefully somebody will make a decent game for it soon. Hate to think I wasted 150 cracka's on that mug.

The DS pwnz the PSP. There is no way around it. But the games are terrible.

It even says that this was originally nothing more than a touch screen demo. It seems that Nintendo is getting desperate for new DS games so they're releasing it.

They can't avoid making a real DS game forever... They're gonna run out of ports! :?

I'm considering the PSP. It's gigantic, it's clunky, the battery life surely blows, but the movies/emulation are bound to be great. Not to mention just like every other ignorant moron on the planet, 3rd-part developers will be all over it.

I'm not thrilled. Forget it. I don't want a PSP. My GBA SP will be enough to keep me happy forever. Especially when I get me my beautiful new GBA messenger.
