Graphics: 8.5
Sound: 10.0
Replay: 9.0
Gameplay: 6.5
Dr. Mario is another Tetris-like Mario game. This is the type of game that you either love or hate. It's concept is nicely thought out and the game itself is very well polished.
The graphics of this game are great. They certainly qualify for an above average rating. Colors are bright and vibrant, not like the mostly bland colored games that plague the NES. Levels aren't too repetitive either. The background changes after every few levels and such so that you don't get bored. Graphically, this game is really good considering its Tetris-like gameplay.
The sound of this game is outrageous! Right after pushing the power button on your NES: POW! It hits you! The music wants to you grab your NES and start dancing with it. You may even find yourself grabbing yourself and saying OWWWW!! Like Michael Jackson. The music is energetic and would make a good dance club song. Its techno-like screeches and sound effects will stay in your head for as long as you live. Sound effects are good too, but who gives a damn when you've got this background music!
Gameplay? Match the colors of the pills with the colors of the viruses. Stack them on top of each other or side by side.
If you find this game in a store, moonwalk over to it. Then pick it up, and grab yourself as you let out a loud satisfying Owwww! Then you moonwalk to the counter and buy it. Even if you hate the game, pop it into your NES and dance the night away!!
