Sony just owned Microsoft at their own game.
This was Microsoft's, in my opinion failed, attempt at convincing consumers to buy Surface over iPad:
P.S. Edited OP to use youtube tag.

My patience for microsoft products has been diminishing quickly. I switched to a windows laptop for school and gaming... and I've been using it for 5 months or so. Tons of data stored up on there, and I've really been considering going back to linux full time. I really haven't gained a single thing from using windows. The sad fact is I've been spending more time on my crunchbang with awesome wm netbook than I have my laptop...

Alright, got a few things to set up, I'll try and get them done and throw you all a screencap
Edit: Screenies and explanation
This is the current desktop, I've been playing with conky colors, as those kind of hurt my eyes... Suggestions welcome. Also, those shortcuts aren't correct, and I have a shortcut to close conky to get all that pesky system info out of the way of my beautiful minimalism
For those unaware (Most of you probably are aware) Awesome WM is a tiling window manager. It's also highly configurable! Yay. Now this isn't the layout I actually use as working on a text file on that would be extremely difficult. But I was too lazy to open the rc.lua file that I was editing in vim... I've got two workspaces, soon to be three. That top terminal is running ncmpcpp and mpd as the music server. I don't actually have any music on here yet lol I'm planning on streaming it from my home ssh server... which I forgot to connect to in the screenie.
So yeah... that's that. Youtube is being a pain as it often is on debian distros, but I've got it working before on laptops, I'm sure I can do it again, at the moment it isn't a big deal, so I've not worried about it.
Edit: edit: Also, if there's an interest in this sort of thing I think we should set up a "Show Your Battlestation" thread, where people can post their desktop setups, and pictures of their hardware/desk setups.
