The album section is where we (the team) upload images showcasing the latest in the development of Elysian Shadows. As development progresses, we will be introducing more levels, features, and ideas that have been implemented, so expect many new albums to come. These albums will be updated regularly to coincide with "The Adventures in Game Development" chapters and offer a closer look at our progress from the videos.
Just another one of those times to pop a Rip It and sit the fuck down to work.

Exposing the darker side of game development.
Following the development of Falco's "LibGyro" api for the PC, Sega Dreamcast, and Sony PSP. The library will be used as the back-end for Elysian Shadows and will also be released to the public eventually.
Since Marcel's departure from the team, it was apparent that somebody was needed to continue work on the level editor. Due to this and the previously discussed limitations of BlitzBasic, it was decided that now was a good time to rewrite the editor in C#. This album chronicles the fruits of that labor.
Equipped with nothing but the engine, level editor, and their Lua scripting skills, the development team attempted to recreate World 1-1 from the original Super Mario Bros in 24 hours. The fruits of their sleepless night may be seen here.
This is for the ever-evolving Elysian Shadows engine. As soon as we're ready to show new builds and features off to the world, they will be appearing here. Everything ranging from debug consoles and Dreamcast builds to particle engines and physics systems can appear here. Expect this to be updated rather frequently.
Album dedicated to the level editor. Complimenting the engine, the level editor has been written from scratch to allow for rapid development. It supports a plethora of fancy features created custom for the Elysian Shadows engine. New screenshots will be added to this album as its development progresses.
Marcel entered the level editor into a local science fair as a requirement for an independent research course at school. There he won every award available, including an all expense paid trip to Reno, Nevada to participate in Intel's International Science and Engineering Fair. Though he won no special recognition at ISEF, just participating in the fair is considered one of the greatest honors among young aspiring scientists. More than 50 countries were present at ISEF this year with over 1600 participants showcasing the absolute most impressive projects form around the world. Awards at Intel's ISEF range from money awards to having planets named in the honor of the winners. As a participant in the fair, Marcel is automatically granted a full ride to the Sierra Nevada College of Science and was able to meet several Nobel prize winners, corporate heads and even the president of Intel.
This album showcases an entire gay bar level dedicated solely to Team JForce (of Youtube). After being verbally assaulted and challenged to a contest of "indie game sales," Falco, Peter, and Julien decided that it was time for some payback. After quite a funny video from Falco, he revealed a joint scheme that had been concocted by the three shady bastards. Featuring some custom tiles by Julien and Falco and Peter's scripting, this is definitely something worth checking out.
Album for random stills from The Adventures in Game Development Chapters 1-12. This album will be preserved here as a look back at our days of being young, newbie aspiring game developers. Elysian Shadows was little more than a distant dream at this point.
The first ever dungeon to be revealed to the public. Created by Peter, it was featured at the end of "The Adventures in Game Development Chapter 14." While it certainly will not be used in the game, it was an important milestone for the embedded scripting system. It shows off several bizarre, yet unique, applications that demonstrate the power and versatility of the scripting system.
Marcel entered the Elysian Shadows level editor into the Northern Alabama Regional Science Fair held at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. We are very proud of him as he recieved a half dozen first place awards from the IEEE, US Air Force, and many more. He represented us well and will be moving on to both the state and international fairs. Expect more at a later date.
