When the Expedition reset hit, I didn't even recognise my own routine. One minute you're stocked, the next you're staring at an empty bench and a half-built plan, flipping through ARC Raiders BluePrint pages like they're a lifeline. My big roadblock has been the same as a lot of folks: Sentinel Firing Cores. They're not "hard" in a skill sense, they're just annoyingly inconsistent—especially if you're relying on lucky finds instead of forcing the drop.
Where the cores actually show up
Yes, you can pull cores from crashed ARC Couriers, but you'll quickly notice the problem: you can go two couriers in a row with nothing useful, then suddenly get one. If you want a steadier rhythm, focus on Sniper Turrets. The Dam Battlegrounds is still the best loop I've found because you can scan without jogging a marathon. Start at the broken dam itself—turrets tend to post up on either side. If it's quiet, swing toward the corner by Research and Administration. And if you're running nights, check Blue Gate too; those thin red aiming beams give them away from way farther than you'd think.
How to kill turrets without burning ammo
A lot of players panic and mag-dump, then complain they're broke. Don't do that. If you've got the Raider Tool, use it. Come in from behind, commit, and keep moving. I circle-strafe the same direction the turret is turning, and it just can't track fast enough. It feels dumb the first time, then it becomes muscle memory. If stamina's getting sketchy, hop on top of the turret for a second—sounds silly, but it buys you control and keeps you from eating the full burst.
The quick-reset method for safe progress
If you're low on gear or just don't feel like gambling, run it "naked." No weapon, no armour, nothing you'll miss. Load in, beeline the dam spawns, and if you don't spot a turret, surrender and restart. When you do find one, smash it, grab the core, and immediately stash it in Safe Pockets. Then surrender again. The core transfers over, and you skip the stressful walk where another player hears you fighting and decides you're today's delivery.
Courier looting and filling the gaps
Couriers are still worth checking when the turret route is dry. Look for black smoke and listen for the general chaos nearby—players love camping obvious crash sites. One small trick: even if a courier has already been looted, the marker can still pop when you get close, so don't assume it's fresh. Mix courier checks between turret runs and you'll keep momentum. And if you're trying to speed up Workshop rebuilding, some folks top up missing parts through trading and marketplaces; if that's your thing, U4gm is known for game currency and item services that can save you a few painful sessions of bad drops.
