The Word Game, C++ edition!
It seems this forum does not have a forum for "Fun with coding", so if this should be moved, please do so... Anyways: I have done this on a few other coding boards to mixed results, thought maybe it would be fun to try here. Here's how it works, every poster adds one line of code OR delete...

Re: Meaning of Life
I see as this:
You are born, and you die. Life is about filling the time in between those two events with something worthwhile.

A simple way to make a world map in the console
I have decided to put up my way (one of) of how to make a game map/world for a text rpg in the console. If you have other ways to do this, please share as well. After reading posts on various forums I have seen one common question is "How do I make the game map". One way to do this in the ...

Re: Help choosing compiler!
I have used dev-C++, MSVC++, and code::blocks As stated before, Dev-C++ is pretty much defunct, and is no longer supported or maintained. In my experience (this is just personal opinion by the way), MSVC++ (referring to express) give you everything you need right now, and more (@OP). It is not a too...

Re: Guides & resources
A bunch of great beginner exercises http://www.cplusplus.com/forum/articles/12974/ My friend emailed me those a long time ago, and I posted them on the cpp forums (re-posted by Bazzy in that post for formatting) Don't know what they would be filed under though. Also I suggest http://collabedit.com/ ...

So, I am looking for a Tutor. Must have a sense of humor.
So, basically I am looking for a tutor for programming (C++). Over time I have found myself fortunate enough to find willing people who have worked with me in helping to progress in coding. Falco suggested that I may be able to find somebody on the forums (avansc and M_D_K were mentioned as people w...

Re: Official "Hello, World! (I'm new!)" thread
Hey, I am new here. My name is Jake. I am 19. I talked to Falco on IM a few times and have finally joined the forums. I am a novice c++ coder looking to learn more. I like to read, game, code, procrastinate, pursue martial arts, sleep, eat, and talk. I have gotten up to basic 2d work in c++ (with SF...
