So, basically I am looking for a tutor for programming (C++).

Over time I have found myself fortunate enough to find willing people who have worked with me in helping to progress in coding. Falco suggested that I may be able to find somebody on the forums (avansc and M_D_K were mentioned as people who have tutored in the past) who has the time and could use some funds. I am 19 and have a deep interest in game programming. On and off I have taught myself bits of c++, to the point of very basic 2d graphics (a moving image controlled by arrows with a "laser" blast projectile effect using SFML, a very horrible pong clone, etc).

I want to pursue a career in game programming/design. My biggest problem has been staying on track and motivated. I need a tutor who is patient, as I can be a little impatient. I also have trouble sticking to one idea, but I am working on that.

Methods I have used in the past for this Include mixtures of Skype and Collab Edit (http://collabedit.com/).

I would be looking to meet (through whatever methods are decided on) a few times a week. Fees negotiable.

Thanks to all.

I'm always perfectly willing to help out wherever possible, but I'm not sure I could actively come up with an agenda to teach (unless the topics were by request). Coming up with project I'd like to work on has always been much harder than actually doing it for me. With that said, I hope you find what you're looking for, but if you ever have questions I'll be more than willing to answer them (as will most others here). Of course, I would never request money for anything like that, I see it as a way to give back to the community.

Good Luck! 8-)
