No, it's not. It's not anything bad in fact--all it does is FIX windows.

And break compatibility with some programs, though most of then have been fixed by now. Other than that, I don't like the "security center" and some of the other additions. My computer is fine with SP1. I've never been "owned". I never have any crapware magically installed on my computer.
