Damn Emos

Emo kids take all the fun out of everything. Examples. Blood, was badass, now emo. Halloween, same thing as b4. Murder, fun hobby; now emo. Black and White, cool colors that are now emo. Oh, there are more. Horror movies, death, the afterlife, colored glasses, cool music, old bands, reading, drawing, abstract art, masterbation, flippy hair, highlights, Poe's work, Vincent Price, Bruce Campbell, Lucky McKee, Johnny Depp, Peter Cartier, HORSE the band, and on and on and on.... all cool. Now they are all considered emo. For the love of Candi Milo, some one help us. What's next, Dreamcast cutting itself?

Emo sucks.And my reason is this bitch at school,pissed me off.But besides that they try to bring everyone one else down with them so they can wallow in self-pity,they say they're non conforming yet they have a myspace.So heres my view Music=O.K Lifestyle=Suck.

Probably the stupidest topic in TCR history. Stop stereotyping people and things based on ignorant assumptions.

HORSE the band has always been a metalcore band. If anything their fans should be pissed by the new fans not teh otehr way around.

I like metal and I wear black all the time. I dont leave the house for extended periods of time so I am so pale I glow in the sun. I am not sad and depressed all the time for no reason. Though I have been sad and depressed in the pased but for very good reasons. I am actualy a hyper and spaztick ADD pirate monkey.

Not everyone that likes most of the things you listed is "emo".

Actually, some of Htb's lyrics do hint at being emo, even if just tring to bring in fans. Also, I'm pretty sure they're are some cool emos. Yeah, I have a few emo friends like HyperShadow, sure. I'm just talking about the gay emo kids, that are all like, "Ohmigawd, my life is shit, I wish it would end now. Ugggh..." Then they puss out and don't even kill themselves. That's what I'm talking about. But Andrew seriously just hates all emos.

Oh- I'm 15, and he's 13/14(not sure.)

Emo is a genre of music that developed out of hardcore punk in the 80's. It's bands like Moss Icon, Antioch Arrow, Swing Kids, etc. Emo is NOT a group of people, a mindset, or anything other than the music.

The people you most likely describing are metalcore scene kids and the kids who try to act like them. They aren't suicidal or whatever you stereotyped them as being.

If someone wants to kill themself thats called being "suicidal" or "angsty". I know thats a tough one.

You guys are young though so I guess it's a little excusable.

Edit: HORSE the band is a fucking metalcore band. The kids you call "emo" have been listening to them a lot longer than you have.
