So, I go in Gyro's room and there's this ass with a hundred of little wires and shit, and a random led-light sticking out. WTF? and there's a fucking com port cable attacked to it....

Apparently, for one of his classes, he had to make this sucker. It's essentially a little circuit that takes keypresses in through the com port as electrical current (binary info), sends it through a fiberoptic cable that's connected to the led light, and and converts it back to an electric stream and send it back to the com port for it to appear on the screen.
In other words, when you type, it converts they keypress to light and back. Pointless, but fukcing AWESOME. I want a breadbord!!!
