Setting up Dreamcast on Ubuntu 8.04

Post by dejai »

Ok so I am trying to install dc-chain on a Debian base system but when I start the dc-chain it seems to download from redhat.com is it possible to compile gcc for this processor if its coming from redhat? Alien seems out of the question as it uses tar.gz and the GNU 3 step install as apposed to .rpm . Any ideas? Has anyone got it working on debian? Or will I have to use my redhat distro and then try some hackery?

Guess nobody's tried this =)
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

I don't know what DC chain he's using, and I'm not familiar with Ubuntu 8.04. =/

I'd recommend asking somebody at http://dcemulation.org

Thanks Gyrovorbis I just want to fiddle around with the Dream Cast. I think it would be a fun experience and I will be sure to ask around at the forum you mentioned.

It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on.
