Hey all,
I've been watching your videos since the beginning and I thought it high time i signed up to these forums.
I began programming when I discovered YABASIC on the ps2, since then I have dabbled here and there with various languages and APIs(java, c++, python, Allegro, SDL, openGL). I took a really long break from programming(2 yrs?) but your vids inspired me to get off my ass and start programming again. I'm currently attempting to relearn opengl and c++ so i can rework my old 2D game engine, Minimus. See you around the forums!

Programming, like a spoken language is definitely something you have to keep up with to remember and not get rusty. Welcome to the forums, you'll find loads of help and inspiration here.

Dear god, they actually ported ES to a piece of celery!

Hello, I am new here. I am interested in programming in C++ with SDL, and I am old 14 years.
I´m still learning how to use SDL together with C++ however.

Here is my youtube channel:

There are videos about my games ;)

Nice to meet both of you. I'm actually extremely surprised that we have such a high percentage of intelligent people on these boards. I've learned a lot.

Oh, wow, I didn't even see this thread at all! I 'spose it's a good idea to introduce myself instead of spamming your forums, while everyone wonder's who that random guy is.

My name's Jesse, or Slacker my friends have dubbed me. I live just north of Seattle, and been here my whole life. I live just a stones throw away from Nintendo, Microsoft, and a bunch of dev houses. My parents got me an NES when I was 3, and I haven't stopped playing games yet.

I've been programming in VB since high school, though once I discovered the wide world of C at the local community college, I don't touch VB too much anymore. Everything else I know is self taught over the last few years.

I currently work as a QA analyst at WBGames (who share offices with Monolith), and the majority of my work is just testing games. Though luckily I'm the only one out of our group that can program, so I've been working on various tools for the different systems.

Outside of work, I'm currently researching and setting up an NES game project. Nothing special, just want to start with the NES and work my way up to the newer consoles. Besides, I think learning some assembly would do my programming good!

I found your youtube page a couple months back, and I love it! I watched though the whole series that day, it's inspiring and motivating to not only see what you're doing, but what you've done.

I think the guys that are working on the game/youtube videos are awesome, and the people that I've seen in the forums are cool and helpful!

Keep up the good work guys!

Hello all,

My name is William and I'm 22. I've always loved games and dreamed one day of creating them, and thus have self-taught some c++ basics. Haven't made anything yet, but I'm always learning ^^.

I've enjoyed ..every video that Falco has put up on youtube. I wish you guys lots of luck!

I hope to learn more here and maybe help some others learn as well. =)

lawl @ morons making fun of your real name

I personally think it's awesome.
